Expeditions
One of the most exciting components of the Year 9 program is our Expeditions. We fundamentally believe that long term immersion in nature helps to change our view of the world and our relationships with it. These trips provide opportunities for students to explore the world around them. Students will undertake a journey-based exploration aspect, community service project, and also enjoy some rest and relaxation. Within this there are aspects of personal challenge and leadership, and environmental and cultural learning.
Albert Park College is pleased to offer a diverse range of expeditions for our students. Our expeditions take place in the last two weeks of Term 3 with a variety of interstate and local options. All the expeditions provide opportunities for students to further develop their inquiry learning and provide real-world contexts for environmental focused learning undertaken in the classroom within Term 4.
